Klaus Nether
Dr. Nether is the Executive Director of High Reliability Product Delivery at Joint Commission Resources. He leads the solution development activities, both domestic and international. Prior to this role, Dr. Nether was a Master Black Belt in the Department of Robust Process Improvement® (RPI®) at The Joint Commission. In this role, he supported The Joint Commission’s activities associated with establishing and sustaining an RPI culture. This culture includes the use of Lean Six Sigma change management, and other performance improvement methodologies to drive results. Dr. Nether was responsible for leading strategic projects, providing expert advice to process improvement teams, and helping develop and implement a quality improvement training program for all Joint Commission employees.
Before joining The Joint Commission, Dr. Nether held a variety of clinical laboratory positions. Dr. Nether received a bachelor of science in biology and medical laboratory sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago and his masters in medical informatics from Northwestern University. He is certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Registry as a Medical Technologist and as a Specialist in Virology. Dr. Nether received his Six Sigma Black Belt Certification from Villanova University and is also certified through The Joint Commission. He is certified as a Master Black Belt through 6Sigma.us. Dr. Nether completed his doctor of health sciences at A.T. Still University, Kirksville, MO.
