Dawn Allbee
As Executive Director, High Reliability Services, Ms. Allbee works with health care thought leaders and system executives on their journey to high reliability through deployment of the Joint Commission Resources’ high reliability practices and services. She directs operations for customer engagement and product life cycle management for high reliability products. Dawn’s passion is providing expert training and mentoring in change management, facilitation, and Robust Process Improvement® (RPI®) program development for health care organizations domestically and internationally.
Ms. Allbee, a certified Master Change Agent and certified Green Belt, has more than 15 years of experience training all levels of staff in change management, leadership commitment and support and high reliability as part of the RPI initiative at The Joint Commission. Dawn has also co-led multi-hospital improvement projects focusing on preventing avoidable hospitalizations for heart failure patients and strengthening safety culture.
In her prior role, as The Joint Commission’s Director of Corporate RPI, Dawn led the development of RPI internally, ensuring the widespread use of RPI methods as a means of achieving strategic and operational goals, and championed the deployment of RPI training programs as a mechanism to build improvement capacity within health care organizations.
Prior to her time at The Joint Commission Dawn held positions in information technology project management, software architecture, technical training and course development, and education.
Ms. Allbee earned her masters degree in communication from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL.
